The Position An exciting opportunity has become available for a Payroll Specialist to join the payroll function of a large, complex organisation. Working within a collaborative and high-performing payroll team, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant payroll outcomes while contributing to process improvements and supporting an evolving payroll environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex payroll issues, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take on greater operational responsibility. Key Responsibilities Process and oversee end-to-end payroll across multiple pay cycles, ensuring accuracy and legislative compliance. Coordinate daily workflow across the payroll team, helping prioritise workloads to meet critical deadlines. Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries, providing technical guidance and support. Validate, audit and approve payroll outputs, including outsourced international payrolls. Interpret Enterprise Agreements, awards and employment legislation to ensure compliant payroll outcomes. Manage payroll-related statutory obligations including superannuation, taxation and banking requirements. Assist with payroll system enhancements, testing, process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience processing complex, high-volume payrolls within a large corporate environment. Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and compliance requirements. Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements, awards and complex employment conditions. Experience using large ERP payroll systems such as SAP or similar. Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex payroll issues with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to provide technical payroll advice across the business.
